Daniel Alves não poupou elogios a Fernando Diniz após a vitória por 2 a 1 sobre o Fortaleza, neste sábado, no Pacaembu – naquele que talvez tenha sido o melhor jogo do camisa 10 desde sua chegada do Tricolor. Questionado sobre as diferenças entre o novo técnico e o seu antecessor, Cuca, o jogador deixou claro que o considera mais moderno.

– São duas ideias bem opostas. O Cuca prezava por marcações individuais, algumas coisas que a equipe conseguia assimilar, outras não tanto. O Diniz veio dar este “upzinho” no nosso time, de mais posicionamento, mais organização tática, mais personalidade de jogar independentemente da zona. Planta um pouco da modernidade do futebol. O futebol cresceu nos últimos tempos, qualquer equipe é capaz de te complicar, e o Diniz dá essa leitura que o jovem precisa. Uma equipe com tantos nomes e tantos fenômenos como a gente tem precisa de uma direção moderna, uma direção tática, e o Diniz veio para aportar isso. Por isso tenho certeza que a partir desse momento o próprio Antony vai dar um passo à frente. Ele é um diamante que a gente tem e precisa polir bem. The mellifluous tones of The Cure’s Robert Smith boomed out from the loudspeakers but Lancashire fans clearly don’t regard Friday in May as sufficient reason to fall completely in love with short-form cricket. A grey evening matching the gloom of the Crawley band’s early albums probably explained the modest attendance of just under 4000 at Old Trafford.Then again, maybe those who stayed away knew a thing or two. For instead of watching Lancashire chase down 155 in a fashion they have come to know rather well, the home supporters watched Durham’s inexpensively assembled side defend that score and do so rather comfortably in the end as Steven Croft’s men lost five wickets for four runs in eight balls.That collapse left the last pair of George Edwards and Stephen Parry collecting singles of little consequence in the final over as Durham’s players completed their second successive victory in this year’s NatWest T20 Blast and their first in eight games against Lancashire.The defeat may seem harsh on Ashwell Prince, who anticipated his 38th birthday next week by making a career-best 78 off 51 balls before he was run out by wicketkeeper Phil Mustard when his side needed 24 runs off ten balls. Prince, though, was never really given the support he needed from his colleagues. Alviro Petersen was the next highest scorer with 20 and Alex Davies was the only other batsman to reach double figures. Whereas Durham had been 91 for 2 at the midpoint of their innings, Lancashire had managed just 62 for 3 at the same stage and they then needed 34 off the last three overs.There were no stars in Durham’s attack but there were a lot of hard workers at the coalface of this game and the visitors deserved their win. The best bowler was probably legspinner Scott Borthwick, who conceded only 21 runs from four mid-innings overs delivered at a time when Lancashire were looking to put the hammer down. Yet Usman Arshad and John Hastings collected a couple of wickets apiece and there were three run-outs as Mark Stoneman’s men maintained their mental discipline and gave away nothing at all.Insights

This was a match of two collapses, Lancashire’s, 4 for 5 (1.2 overs) significantly worse than Durham’s, 50 for 8 (8.1 overs) and it was for that reason that they emerged defeated and will look back and at a missed opportunity chasing a manageable target. Four run-outs, including three in 16 balls, in a chase is simply unforgivable.

Curiously, though, even as they reflect on their victory in the cool of Saturday morning Durham may still regard their innings as something of a missed opportunity. With skipper Stoneman and Paul Collingwood both batting well and without hazard the visitors had galloped to 105 for 2 in the 12th over but then lost their last eight wickets for 50 runs in just 8.1 overs. It was nothing like the collapse Lancashire achieved but it seemed significant at the timeThat gradual decline from outright prosperity may have been particularly irritating for Stoneman, whose 57 was both a career-best short-form score and only his second half-century in T20 cricket. Certainly his 38-ball innings, which included three relatively orthodox boundaries off an Edwards over, seemed to have laid foundations for a total of about 180.At the other end, Calum MacLeod employed cricket’s favoured T20 demolition firm, Scoop, Ramp and Clobber, to damage Tom Bailey’s figures, and when MacLeod had lost his middle stump trying to repeat the scoop off Jordan Clark, Collingwood maintained the innings’ momentum by hitting 30 off 19 balls.As so often in T20, though, spin changed the game. Offspinner Arron Lilley removed Collingwoood in his second over when a reverse sweep only dollied the ball to Davies behind the stumps and Lilley then dismissed Stoneman in his next when the wicketkeeper completed a stumping at something like the third attempt. Davies later stumped Borthwick but also missed at least a couple of other chances on an evening when his various accomplishments were trumpeted to all and sundry by a band of raucous supporters.None of the missed opportunities in the second half of Durham’s innings were costly. Only Gordon Muchall reached double figures and both Edwards and Bailey picked up a couple of wickets. Bailey, indeed, bowled Hastings, much as he had accounted for opener Mustard, with an outrageous slower ball which the batsman totally misjudged. The 24-year-old thus matched the chutzpah exhibited in an earlier era by Franklyn Stephenson and Chris Cairns.That, though, rather encapsulated the nature of the contest. One remembered the individual excellence of Bailey, Prince and Lilley but it was Durham’s band of hard-working cricketers who took the two points. “Let’s Dance” the crowd were exhorted endlessly but neither they nor Croft’s players ever showed their best moves. “Hi-ho” blared those loudspeakers at a volume to disturb the dead but it was Durham’s eleven players who went off to work.

Por pouco o Tricolor não igualou as equipes que mais empataram na história dos pontos corridos com 20 clubes (Corinthians de 2013, Palmeiras de 2011, Botafogo de 2010 e Ceará de 2010, todos com 17 resultados iguais).

Em tese, a equipe caminha para bater o próprio recorde. Após a 24ª rodada do Brasileirão de 2018, eram sete empates, três a menos do que na mesma altura do torneio deste ano.

O excesso de igualdades impede o São Paulo de brigar pelo título. O time perdeu apenas quatro vezes, só uma a mais que Flamengo, Palmeiras e Corinthians, três dos quatro times que estão à sua frente na tabela – o vice-líder Santos perdeu cinco vezes. O problema é que o Tricolor venceu menos do que todos os integrantes do G4: dez vezes, contra 16 do Fla, 14 do Santos, 13 do Palmeiras e 11 do Corinthians.

When it was announced in the close season that Joe Denly was to return to Kent from Middlesex, many saw it as a talented batsman’s attempt to rediscover his best form at the county where he is best loved. Once an England one-day player with an exciting international future before him, Denly’s form had declined at Lord’s and the Canterbury-born cricketer’s move back home was widely seen as a good move.Now all he needs to do is score some runs, which is easier advised that accomplished for an opening batsman on April’s pitches. Managing just three runs in two innings on a seamer’s pitch at Chelmsford could have happened to anyone but this Old Trafford wicket has few scorpions in it for players prepared to get their heads down and graft a bit.Which was exactly what Denly did on the third day of the game against Lancashire, and Kent supporters will hope that his 60 in 176 minutes is merely the portent of things to come at Canterbury, Tunbridge Wells and all stations north and west.Certainly Denly’s diligence and old-fashioned application exemplified the vastly more responsible approach adopted by Kent’s batsmen after they had been bowled out for 252 in the first innings of this game. With rain around, Lancashire’s bowlers fresh and a first-innings lead of 192 with which to play, it was merely common sense for Steven Croft to enforce the follow on in the middle of the morning session and the neutrals waited rather nervously in the hope that Rob Key’s batsmen would avoid making quite such a mess of their task second time around.Those neutrals need not have worried. Denly and Daniel Bell-Drummond put on 34 in the 12 overs that were possible before lunch and, though Bell-Drummond was caught by wicketkeeper Alex Davies off Jordan Clark for 18 in the third over after the resumption, it was already becoming clear that Kent’s batsmen had recovered their powers of resistance.Only the red-rose zealots were disappointed by this. Kent is the county of Woolley and Hardinge, of Cowdrey and Luckhurst. It was not easy to watch them bat as they did on Monday.Kent skipper Rob Key joined Denly and the pair put on 72 for the second wicket in over an hour’s good cricket. Balls were played on their merits and the runs flowed. Lancashire used seven bowlers in the afternoon session at Old Trafford but none of them, not even the in-form Kyle Jarvis, could spark the sort of collapse we witnessed on Monday.It took Peter Siddle’s pace to make the next breakthrough and it came when Key, having made 34 in 77 minutes, rather played over the top of a full length delivery and lost his middle stump. That left Kent on 111 for 2 but Denly had by then reached his fifty off 96 balls with eight boundaries. At tea he was 60 not out and the total was 128 for 2.The first ball of the evening’s play was bowled by Kyle Jarvis and it was precisely the type of delivery you do not want to face when you are readjusting to a new session and waiting for your fondant fancies to go down. It came back sharply off the Old Trafford wicket and had Denly leg before. He had, at least, shown something of what he could do and even the younger players, such as Sam Billings, appreciated the fact.”It’s great having Joe back, he’s another home-grown Kent player and a cracking bloke to have in the dressing room,” said Billings “He’s a top class player and there’s no doubt he adds to our batting depth. If anyone watched him bat today, they could see how good a player he is.”However, there is still plenty of work for Kent’s batsmen to do. Although rain trimmed 22 overs off the evening’s cricket and although Sam Northeast and Brendan Nash then survived the trickiest of four-over session at the end of the day, Kent will need to bat very well if they are to avoid losing their second four-day game in a week.Northeast, Nash and their colleagues cannot rely on the heavy showers that had the Old Trafford groundstaff struggling like Whitmanesque figures in the Mancunian gusts this morning. Instead they will have to draw on their own resources, just as Joe Denly did on this damp and sunlit Tuesday.

كشفت تقارير صحفية كتالونية عن انهيار علاقة مدرب الفريق الأول لكرة القدم بنادي برشلونة، تشافي، مع المدير الرياضي الجديد، ديكو، بسبب التصريحات الإعلامية بينهما.

ودخل تشافي وديكو في خلاف كلامي عبر وسائل الإعلام بسبب قائمة برشلونة لمباراة رويال أنتويرب في ختام مرحلة دور المجموعات في بطولة دوري أبطال أوروبا.

وخسر برشلونة يوم أمس، الأربعاء، من أنتويرب في بلجيكا بنتيجة 3-2 ورغم ذلك تأهل النادي الكتالوني متصدرًا للمجموعة الثامنة، ولكن أداء الفريق ليس جيدًا.

ولكن المشكلة بين تشافي وديكو قد بدأت قبل المباراة، خاصة وأن المدرب قد اختار استبعاد أكثر من اسم مثل روبرت ليفاندوفسكي، رونالد أراوخو وإلكاي جوندوجان.

The summer solstice must have seemed even longer to Kent than normal, as they put themselves under pressure in their against Northamptonshire at Wantage Road as Rory Kleinveldt and Azharullah both took five-wicket hauls to bowl them out for just 140.Having been dismissed so cheaply on what has been one of the country’s flattest wickets, that they fought back late in the day to limit Northamptonshire to 193 for 7 shows just how dire their situation was in mid-afternoon.The pleasant Sunday conditions were in contrast to the mizzle that ruined Saturday’s opening day and in fairness to the visitors, the green tinge to the pitch suggested something as spicy as the curry on the nearby Wellingborough Road. Despite the early loss of both openers, Kent seemed well placed at 93 for 2 with Rob Key and Sam Northeast playing shots all around the square. That was with ten minutes left in the session when the largely self-inflicted carnage took place.Previously the model of consistency this season, Northeast was unsure whether to leave or play at Kleinveldt outside the off stump and ending up edging to wicketkeeper Adam Rossington for 36. Darren Stevens was lbw to the very next ball and three further deliveries later, Key was bowled for 35, playing all around one from Azharullah. Tredwell’s dismissal – bowled Azharullah for 0 – on the stroke of lunch, meant that four wickets had fallen in a remarkable 19-ball spell and Kent were 97 for 6.Forty-four balls after lunch, Kent were all out and although Azharullah and Kleinveldt bowled well to produce the home side’s best and second-best bowling figures of the season, the movement was hardly excessive.Northamptonshire’s players showed on occasions that with application, batting was far from impossible and the likelihood is that the surface will improve further over the next two days. The chief example of that was provided by 23 year-old Rob Keogh. Predominantly a leg side player, he has the cool temperament to play the long innings as evidenced by his 163 not out to save the game at Derbyshire this season and 221 against Hampshire two years ago.Keogh is closing in on 700 runs and has a chance of becoming the first Northamptonshire player to reach 1000 first-class runs in a season since Stephen Peters in 2010. Alex Wakely’s 50 in support, helped Keogh run up 70 for the third wicket and while all batsmen played and missed during the day, it was a surprise when Keogh edged Matt Coles to Adam Ball at third slip for 68, with eight overs remaining in the day.That was the first of three wickets in successive overs for Coles who finished with figures of 4 for 62 and who now has 42 Championship wickets in his first season back with his original county, after a brief spell at Hampshire. To add to Northants’ late woe, Cobb departed in Mitchell Claydon’s last over of the day to leave the home side 53 in front with three first-innings wickets left. This seesaw day leaves the remaining two days impossible to predict.

Restariam três vagas a serem preenchidas no setor ofensivo. As principais opções seriam Antony, Pato e Vitor Bueno, que começaram jogando na vitória por 1 a 0 sobre o Avaí, além de Hernanes e Raniel. Antony, aliás, foi chamado para uma conversa com Diniz antes da atividade. Ele não vive boa fase, mas por enquanto foi titular sempre que esteve à disposição do técnico.

Juanfran, com uma contratura na coxa esquerda, não trabalhou no campo e tem chances de seguir fora. Pablo, Everton e Rojas, todos machucados, são desfalques certos. Toró, em recuperação de lesão muscular, fez o aquecimento com o grupo e depois trabalhou com a preparação física. Suas chances de retornar já nesta partida são remotas, mas a evolução é satisfatória.

Anderson Martins, fora das últimas duas partidas devido a dores no joelho, participou de toda a atividade e deve ser opção no banco mais uma vez. Outra novidade entre os reservas pode ser Jucilei, que treinou bem e pode ser relacionado pela primeira vez desde que foi reintegrado ao grupo.

وتحدث أوين عن محمد صلاح في استوديو الدوري الإنجليزي الرسمي، وقال: “يا له من لاعب استثنائي لا يُصدق، لقد كتب تاريخًا كبيرًا في مركز الجناح الأيمن بقدمه اليسرى”.

وأضاف في النهاية: “ربما يكون لديه نقطة ضعف وحيدة خلال مسيرته مع ليفربول على مدار السنوات الماضية وهي ضربات الرأس، فهو ليس ماهرًا فيها”.
