أعرب الدولي البلجيكي، ديفوك أوريجي، عن سعادته بالانتقال إلى ميلان خلال فترة الانتقالات الصيفية، في صفقة انتقال حر من ليفربول.

انتهى عقد أوريجي مع ليفربول، ووصفه يورجن كلوب بـ أسطورة من أساطير النادي بعد مساهماته في الفوز بالعديد من البطولات خلال السنوات الأخيرة.

النادي الإيطالي أعلن في بيان رسمي انضمام أوريجي صاحب الـ27 عامًا، بعقد يمتد حتى 30 يونيو 2026.

وقال أوريجي في أول تصريحاته لوسائل إعلام ميلان: “أنا في نادٍ عظيم، وأريد التعرف على الثقافة أكثر هنا وفهم الناس وكيف تسير الأمور”.

وأضاف: “عندما لعبت ضد ميلان في الموسم الماضي، شعرت بالكثير من الإثارة، وكذلك حتى اليوم الأخير وكم الطاقة التي كان يمتلكها الفريق للفوز بلقب الدوري الإيطالي”.

وأكمل أوريجي: “لقد أعددت نفسي جسديًا وعقليًا قبل الانضمام إلى ميلان، لتقديم أفضل ما لدي وأن أضيف إلى الأساس الرائع لهذا الفريق، لأن فريق مثل ميلان يريد دائمًا أن يكون في القمة، وسأحاول مساعدتهم على ذلك”.

وواصل: “الكل يعرف تاريخ النادي، 19 دوريًا و7 دوري أبطال أوروبا، هذا شيء مُذهل، والعديد من اللاعبين الكبار والأساطير مثلوا هذا النادي، أريد أن أكون مثلهم”.

وواصل: “رأيت مقاطع عديدة لـ فان باستن، وكييفية تسجيله للأهداف، بالإضافة لـ شيفشينكو وإنزاجي، وجورج وياه، إنهم لاعبون بارزون”.

وأردف: “لقد تحدثت مع ساليميكرس عن النادي، إنه يحب النادي جدًا ويريد أن يقدم كل ما لديه لـ ميلان، أخبرني بكل شيء، وسعيد لأننا سنتواجد سويًا الموسم المقبل في ملعب سان سيرو ونتشارك غرف خلع الملابس”.

واختتم: “أتمنى الاستمتاع هنا والتعلم كثيرًا من التواجد في ميلان. سان سيرو ملعب عظيم وضخم، يجعل اللاعبين يقاتلون من أجل جماهيره”.

As Saturday’s fixture against the 2022 World Cup hosts was only a friendly, Fernando Santos opted to rest the three City players ahead of Tuesday’s trip to Azerbaijan, as tweeted by @cityreport in the build-up to the match.

Dias was brought on midway through the second half, whereas Silva and Cancelo both sat out out the full match, with the right-back rested after playing every minute of Manchester City’s opening three league games of the season.

Pep Guardiola’s side travel to Leicester City next weekend following the international break, and having all their key players fresh available for a busy September, which includes trips to Chelsea and PSG, will be most desirable.

Harbhajan Singh and Amit Mishra played a critical role in Australia’s two defeats, and with spin accounting for 62% of England’s wickets in India since 2001, they will aim to apply pressure.Also on offer is a chance to move back to No.2 in the ICC’s Test rankings, a position India briefly enjoyed after the 2-0 home series victory against Australia. Even a 1-0 series win will suffice for India, currently at third.By going in with five bowlers, England have stated their intent – they are here to win. A 2-0 series win would help them overtake Sri Lanka to the fourth slot in the standings. An in-form Owais Shah, who scored 236 runs in four ODIs, has been sacrificed for the offspinner Graeme Swann, who will make his debut. He has come on in leaps and bounds, literally, and his performances in Tests have been notable for the accuracy of his deliveries and the bounce he generates. Able to swing the ball both ways like his new-ball partner Zaheer Khan, Ishant poses a serious threat to England’s batsmen.While he’s been the mainstay of India’s one-day side for a while, Yuvraj Singh has had an inconsistent run in Test cricket, having played just 23 matches for 1050 runs since his debut five years ago. However, the 26-year-old has once again been given a chance to translate his limited-overs success into Test cricket. Yuvraj made two consecutive match-winning hundreds (138* and 118) against England in the first two ODIs of the truncated seven-match series, and also picked up a four-wicket haul, and earned a call-up after Sourav Ganguly retired. Yuvraj has said if he gets a chance here, he won’t let it go. As India step into a new era, those words will need to count once and for all.James Anderson, England’s second-highest wicket-taker this year, has already made a mark in India, capturing six wickets at 13.16 in one Test. After Euro 2020 and the Olympics have finished, football fans worldwide are ready for more football matches and events. Many of such events have started in August, and many more are still in front of us.

The good thing with football fans is that they often follow many different national leagues, and not only the ones based in the countries they live in. True fans are all about the game, and borders don’t exist for them.

Let’s take a look at some football events you should watch out for.

Premier League

The top-level football league in the home country of football is definitely something to watch out for.

The tournament started on August 13th and will end on May 22nd, 2022. Out of 20 teams competing in the league, many are popular around the world – in fact, a lot of fans all over the world have their own favourite English football club that they support quite passionately. Be sure to pay attention to the 30th season of the league.

La Liga

La Liga, aka Campeonato Nacional de Liga de Primera División, is another national league that football fans love to lose their minds over. It started on August 13th and the matches will take place until May 22nd, 2022.

The competition consists of 20 teams (historically, a total of 62 clubs have competed) – with Real Madrid and Barcelona being the leading teams and traditional rivals. So far, the team from Madrid is in the lead with 34 titles, while Barcelona has won 26 times.

Bundesliga

One more national football league on our list of events you should pay attention to. The league which is at the top of the German football league system consists of 18 teams. Since it was founded, 56 clubs have competed in it. And out of all of them, no one was more successful than Bayern Munich. The most successful club in German history has won 31 national titles.

The league is loved by the fans, and in terms of attendance, it is the number one league in the world. During the 2011/12 season, the average attendance per game was more than 45 thousand. The only sports league in the world with a higher attendance was the American NFL.

Serie A

The second-to-last national league on our list of football events to pay attention to is the top league of Italy. In this case, as well, the matches started in August and will end in May of 2022. One of the best leagues in the world, it has been operating as a round-robin tournament since the 1929-30 season.

Serie A is often considered the most tactical and defensively sound national league and was, according to IFFHS, the world’s strongest national league in 2020. The league is home to some of the best and most famous football clubs in the world, such as Juventus, AC Milan, and Inter Milan. 2021 FIFA Club World Cup

And finally, the 18th edition of the FIFA Club World Cup is scheduled for December 2021 and will be hosted by Japan. This FIFA-organized international club football tournament is a competition between the winners of six continental confederations and the champion of the host’s national league.

This year it will be a specific event since the defending champion is Bayern Munich, but the club will not be in the position to actually defend its title since it was eliminated in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals.

As you can see, there are plenty of exciting matches to look forward to if you are a football fan. For now, at least we can forget the restrictions of the Covid-19 era and get ready to enjoy some of the best football in the world.
