تجاهلت صحيفة “ليكيب” الفرنسية جناح ومهاجم الفريق الأول لكرة القدم بنادي ليفربول ومنتخب مصر، محمد صلاح، ضمن المرشحين لمنافسة مهاجم ريال مدريد، كريم بنزيما، على جائزة الكرة الذهبية لعام ٢٠٢٢.

وأشادت الصحيفة الشهيرة بالموسم الذي يقدمه مهاجم فرنسا مع ريال مدريد سواء في الدوري الإسباني أو دوري أبطال أوروبا ووضعته في مقدمة المرشحين لحصد البالون دور.

لكن رشحت “ليكيب” ٤ أسماء أخرى لمنافسة بنزيما بقوة على الجائزة من بينهم جناح ليفربول الآخر، ساديو ماني، والتي أكدت الصحيفة أنه تفوق على، محمد صلاح، دوليا مع منتخب بلده السنغال.

وترى الصحيفة أن فوز ماني ببطولة كأس أمم إفريقيا والتأهل إلى كأس العالم على حساب محمد صلاح ومنتخب مصر يضعه ضمن المرشحين الأقوياء هذا العام، وقد تزيد فرصه إذا فاز ليفربول ببطولتي الدوري الإنجليزي ودوري أبطال أوروبا مع منافستهم على لقب كأس الاتحاد الإنجليزي.

أم الثلاثي الآخر المرشح من قبل “ليكيب ” هم كيليان مبابي من باريس سان جيرمان، روبرت ليفاندوفسكي من بايرن ميونخ وكيفن دي بروين من مانشستر سيتي.

تحدث جوردان هندرسون لاعب ليفربول عقب التعادل أمام مانشستر سيتي في المباراة المثيرة التي جمعت الفريقين مساء الأحد، وتأثير النتيجة على صراع الفريقين على لقب الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز.

وتعادل ليفربول بهدفين لمثلهما أمام مانشستر سيتي، ضمن منافسات الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز “البريميرليج”، على ملعب “الاتحاد”. أهداف مباراة ليفربول ومانشستر سيتي 

وقال هندرسون لقناة “سكاي سبورتس”: “كانت مباراة مكثفة، كنا نعلم أنها ستكون صعبة، ولكننا أردنا أن نقدم كل شيء في المباراة ونحقق الفوز، لم نتمكن من فعل ذلك ولكننا لم نخسر، ليست نهاية العالم، ما زلنا في السباق، لذلك نتيجة لها إيجابيات وسلبيات”.

وأضاف: “أعتقد أننا بدأنا بشكل جيد، بالطبع كنا نعلم أننا سنتعرض لضغوط في وقت مبكر، إنهم فريق رائع”.

وتابع هندرسون: “شعرت أننا استقررنا قليلاً وتسببنا في مشاكل لهم، إنه لمن دواعي سرورنا أننا عدنا بالنتيجة مرتين، نريد أن نفعل ما هو أفضل بالطبع”.

وشدد قائد ليفربول: “عليك أن تستمر، عليك أن تكون مستعدًا للمعاناة، عليك أن تظل إيجابيًا، وأن تبقى في المقدمة ولا تمنحهم الوقت، لقد نجح الأمر في بعض الأحيان، وفي حالات أخرى يمكننا الدفاع بشكل أفضل”.

حول ما إذا كان مانشستر سيتي سيكون أكثر سعادة بهذه النقطة، أفاد هندرسون: “علينا أن ننتظر ونرى، إنهم لا يخسرون الكثير من النقاط، نحن نعلم ذلك”.

وأصر: “علينا أن نركز على أنفسنا ونفوز بأكبر عدد ممكن من المباريات، إذا فشلوا يجب أن نكون هناك خلفهم مباشرة، وسنواصل العمل حتى النهاية”.

هندرسون استطرد في تصريحات أخرى إلى إذاعة “بي بي سي”: “كانت مباراة قوية، هناك إيجابيات يجب أخذها، لكن المشاعر مختلطة”.

وأكد: “الحصول على التعادل في استاد الاتحاد في ظل الظروف العادية ليس نتيجة سيئة، ولكن أردنا المجيء إلى هنا والفوز بالمباراة لوضع آخر المباريات في أيدينا، للأسف لم نتمكن من فعل ذلك”.

وأكمل: “لكننا جئنا من الخلف مرتين وأظهرنا شخصية رائعة، والبقاء في المباراة، هذا مهم؛ إذا أخطأوا، علينا أن نكون مستعدين للانقضاض”.

واسترسل هندرسون: “لم نستقر في المباراة حتى يسجلوا وهذا أمر مخيب للآمال، لكننا أظهرنا مرونة كبيرة للعودة، ولعب كرة القدم، وإيذائهم”.

وواصل: “كان بإمكاننا فعل أكثر من ذلك، لكننا وجدنا طريقة للاستمرار في اللعب وعدم الخسارة، في كرة القدم، لا تعرف أبدًا ما الذي سيحدث”.

وأتم هندرسون: “تأتي المباريات الكبيرة كثيفة وسريعة؛ ليس هناك وقت للتأمل، عليك التعلم من هذا والمضي قدمًا والاستعداد لبنفيكا (في دوري الأبطال بإياب ربع النهائي)”.

The Birmingham Mail’s Ashley Preece has dropped a major update on Aston Villa’s transfer move for Ashley Young.

What’s the story?

Reports in recent days have suggested that Dean Smith’s side are keen on bringing the 35-year-old back to the club, years after his first spell  when he played 190 games for Villa.

And now, writing via his official Twitter account, Preece said that Young’s representatives are in talks with Villa, and “that one appears to be moving quickly”.

Fans should be buzzing

Given Villa have already clinched the signing of Emi Buendia from Norwich, the fact they’re now closing in on the signing of Young is a real statement that the club are keen to do their business early this window.

Not only will Smith be buzzing about seeing his second new player come in through the door, but the fans should also be very pleased with the knowledge that Villa are making real strides to improve the first-team squad as soon as possible.

Of course, aside from Young, news also emerged of Villa’s bid for Arsenal starlet Emile Smith Rowe, and while that deal seems unlikely, it remains an indication of the kind of aggressive approach that NSWE are taking to this summer’s transfer window.

Leeds United have made a bid for Celtic left-back Matthew Anderson, according to Graham Smyth of the Yorkshire Evening Post.

The Lowdown: Leeds’ Hjelde interest

Anderson isn’t the only Hoops youngster the Whites are keen on. They were after Leo Hjelde last season prior to his Ross County loan spell and have been credited with an interest in the Norwegian recently.

Reports from Football Insider earlier this week suggested that Leeds are negotiating a deal for Hjelde, and it seems as if Anderson is also a firm target.

The Latest: Anderson offer

Smyth shared the news on Twitter on Tuesday afternoon, revealing “Leeds United have made a bid for a Celtic defender” while sharing his article on the development.

That defender is Anderson, who signed a new professional deal with the Hoops last summer.

No financial details of the bid were shared by Smyth or Celtic’s stance on whether they would be willing to part ways with the youngster this summer.

The Verdict: A possible long-term blow?

Although Anderson is yet to feature for the Hoops at senior level, a move to Yorkshire could prove to be a big blow in the long run.

The 17-year-old was tipped as the next Kieran Tierney last year, and left-back is a position that Celtic are yet to really sort out following Tierney’s move to Arsenal.

Greg Taylor and loanee Diego Laxalt battled it out to be first choice last season, with Boli Bolingoli set for a Parkhead return this summer.

Anderson may have had the chance to play senior football with Celtic Colts in the Lowland League next season, however, it seems as if a move to Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds could be a possibility following Smyth’s update.

Staff Reporter27-Feb-2002In a match that was delayed by two hours due to wet conditions from overnight rains, Hrishikesh Kanitkar struck an unbeaten 79 to guide West Zone to a comfortable three-wicket win over East Zone at Delhi on Tuesday.When the match finally got under way, West Zone won the toss and opted to field first, hoping to use the conditions for some early swing and seam. Opener Debang Gandhi fell early, but a 97-run partnership between Rajiv Kumar and Pravanjan Mullick followed.Mullick got to 50 off 71 balls and promptly gave RF Morris a return catch to end his innings on that score. Rajiv Kumar brought up his 50 and did the same, falling on that very score.Thereafter it was all Laxmi Ratan Shukla, who hit a blazing 64 off just 30 balls before falling as the sixth wicket with the score on 200. Shukla hit nine fours and two sixes in his knock. West Zone did not take too much longer to mop up the tail, and East Zone were dismissed for 211 in 40 overs, 10 overs remaining unused.In such a situation, all West needed was one batsman to stand his ground and play a sensible innings. Vinod Kambli looked to be the one, but he made only 48 off 45 balls, with seven fours and one six, before falling to Utpal Chatterjee. West then found its responsible man in Kanitkar, whose 79 was a sedately paced knock featuring five fours and one six.West Zone brought up the target in only 38 overs, surviving an anxious situation of being 170/7 when Sairaj Bahutule fell.
