Micah Richards has described Patrick Bamford as ‘incredible’ following the Leeds United striker’s comments on racism earlier this week.

The Whites are preparing for Sunday’s visit of Manchester United in the Premier League as they look for another impressive result in an excellent season. Marcelo Bielsa’s men drew 1-1 at home to reigning champions Liverpool on Monday night, following on from their amazing 2-1 victory at Manchester City.

After Monday’s game, Bamford spoke honestly about racism in the game, showing his human side, away from all the goals this season.

Richards heaps praise on Bamford

Writing for the Daily Mail, former England international Richards lauded the Leeds star for his comments, saying it is vital that white footballers speak out about the issue. He wrote:

“The first place to start at the end of a week like no other is with a thank you to Patrick Bamford. His words on Monday night were incredible – if you aren’t aware of what he said, let me fill you in.

“It’s amazing the things they are talking about. I can’t quite comprehend it,’ he said. ‘It’s amazing the amount of opera that comes into the game when somebody’s pockets are being hurt. It’s a shame it’s not like that when other things are going wrong at the minute, like racism. It’s just how it is.’

“Bamford rightly received a lot of love for his sentiments. A simple view like that from a white person carries so much more weight than if I, for instance, had said it. He didn’t rant, he just said what he wanted and it was all done so effortlessly.”

Racism remains a negative aspect of football that still isn’t going away, despite strides being made over the years.

Having figures such as Bamford speaking so eloquently on the problem can only be a good thing, though, spreading awareness and highlighting the importance of eradicating the issue.

It says a lot about the 27-year-old as a character that he is capable of being so heartfelt and genuine about such an important topic, only making him even more likeable as a person.

Many Glasgow Rangers fans were disappointed with the performance of Joe Aribo during their Old Firm victory on Sunday.

The Gers won at Ibrox to extend their unbeaten run in the Premiership (BBC). Kemar Roofe gave the 55-time Scottish champions the lead before Odsonne Edouard equalised, but Alfredo Morelos restored his side’s lead and then Roofe grabbed his second after the interval. Although the league title is long since wrapped up, the Gers will be delighted to have beaten their rivals once again this season.

However, the display of £3.15m-valued Aribo (Transfermarkt) disappointed some of the Gers supporters. He failed to have a real impact on the game in the middle of the park and he shirked his defensive duties on the few occasions that 10-man Celtic did try to attack. He was sloppy in possession and came out second best in many of his duels. That, in particular, will not have pleased Steven Gerrard on the touchline.

O ex-presidente do Corinthians Andrés Sanchez é investigado pela Operação Lava Jato. Nesta quinta-feira, o ministro do Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF), TeoriZavascki, autorizou abertura de inquérito sobre o deputado federal (PT-SP) por corrupção passiva.

Não há detalhes sobre a apuração, que tramita em segredo de justiça, mas a tendência é que ela esteja relacionada à Arena Corinthians, construída pela construtora Odebrecht.

Recentemente, mais de 80 executivos da Odebrecht assinaram acordo de delação premiada. Já em março deste ano, André Luiz de Oliveira,vice-presidente do Timão, foi conduzido coercitivamente para depor na Polícia Federal depois que o nome e o endereço dele apareceram em uma planilha da construtora ao lado de uma anotação para pagamento de R$ 500 mil.

Ao LANCE!, o advogado de Andrés Sanchez, João dos Santos Gomes Filho disse:

-Desconheço o teor do despacho, apenas sei que foi autorizada a abertura de inquérito. Imagino que estejamos falando dos R$ 500 mil supostamente doados à campanha do Andrés. Eu ouvi da boca do Andrés que ele não recebeu. E também manifestação do André Luiz que ele não recebeu. Então agora ele terá oportunidade de dizer isso na Justiça- declarou.

Andrés Sanchez afirmou em entrevistas recentes que não temia a Lava Jato e que a operação dificultava a venda dos naming rights da Arena Corinthians.

Agora, passam a ser 42 investigações da Lava Jato no Supremo e mais duas ações penais abertas. São 110 investigados, no STF, sendo 42 parlamentares – 29 deputados federais e 13 senadores.

أعرب اللاعب محمود صابر، عن سعادته الكبيرة بالانضمام إلى صفوف الفريق الأول لكرة القدم بنادي سيراميكا كليوباترا.

Manchester United are back in Premier League action on Sunday against Aston Villa after a two-week break from domestic football.

Despite two clashes against AS Roma in Europe, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Red Devils have not had any league games since their 0-0 draw against Leeds United two weeks ago, with last weekend’s match against Liverpool at Old Trafford being postponed due to fan protests.

With that game now having been rearranged, United now face a strenuous schedule of six games in just 17 days.

Could Solskjaer be tempted to make many alterations to his team for this fixture against Villa?

Having made a few changes in Italy on Thursday, this game could likely be closer to a regular first-choice team from the Norwegian – boasting three changes from the clash in the eternal city.

The first alteration will be in goal where Dean Henderson will once again replace David de Gea.

There should also be a slight tweak in defence where Victor Lindelof will start once again, meaning Eric Bailly will drop out.

Both Luke Shaw and Aaron Wan-Bissaka were substituted in Rome so that slight rest should see them start once again versus Villa. Harry Maguire will,l of course, be selected.

The Red Devils’ midfield should have a familiar look to it where Fred will partner Paul Pogba, with the irrepressible Bruno Fernandes pushed forwards slightly more.

The final change to the team will occur in attack. Edinson Cavani should be a candidate to start after his four-goal and three assist haul over both legs against AS Roma.

He should be supported by Mason Greenwood who appears to have rediscovered his scoring touch having netted four goals in as many Premier League games.

However, Marcus Rashford could return after he started on the bench for the trip to Italy. He should replace £120k per week midfielder Donny van de Beek in the starting line-up.

وقد تضامن عدد كبير من لاعبي كرة القدم والمدربين مع الشعب الأوكراني، فرفع لاعبو برشلونة ونابولي لافتة “اوقفوا الحرب” قبل المباراة بين الفريقين ليلة الخميس في الدوري الأوروبي.

وأظهر الأوكراني روسلان مالينوفسكي لاعب أتالانتا قميصه الذي يظهر عليه جملة “لا للحرب في أوكرانيا”.
