وضح المدير الفني للفريق الأول لكرة القدم بنادي مانشستر سيتي، بيب جوارديولا، مستقبل المهاجم سيرجيو أجويرو، مع متصدر الدوري الإنجليزي في ظل اقتراب عقده من الانتهاء.

وينتهي عقد أجويرو مع مانشستر سيتي في نهاية الموسم الحالي يونيو المقبل، وهناك تقارير تربط المهاجم الأرجنتيني بإمكانية الانتقال إلى برشلونة.

وعلق جوارديولا على مستقبل أجويرو في تصريحات لشبكة “بي إن سبورتس”، وقال: “سيرجيو يمكن أن يكون أسطورة النادي”.

وتابع: “أجويرو شخص محبوب من الجميع، بعد كل ما فعله لصالح مانشستر سيتي على مدار السنوات الماضية”.

وأتم تصريحاته: “بالنسبة لمستقبله، سنقرر ما هو الأفضل للطرفين (النادي واللاعب) خلال الفترة المقبلة”.

Many Tottenham Hotspur supporters have been voicing their disagreement on social media, after Spurs shared that Tanguy Ndombele had won a fans’ vote over who should be named the Man of the Match against Southampton.

Ndombele struck his second goal for Tottenham against the Saints on Saturday, in what was his sixth appearance for the North Londoners (TransferMarkt) across all competitions since joining from Ligue 1 side Olympique Lyonnais for a club-record £53.8million (BBC) this summer.

The 22-year-old Frenchman also played 23 accurate passes from his 28 attempted balls to teammates against the St. Mary’s Stadium natives, while also winning possession with four tackles, one interception and two successful aerial duels before being replaced by Eric Dier in the 78th-minute, per WhoScored data.

It was the Longjumeau, France-born midfielder’s best performance in the Premier League to date statically, with a WhoScored match rating of 8.21 eclipsing the 7.77 achieved against Manchester City when he penned his sole assist of the campaign so far, and the 7.58 achieved against Aston Villa when he scored his maiden strike for Spurs.

Some Tottenham fans disagreed with the 36% of those who voted, however, as many voiced that Harry Kane, Harry Winks, Danny Rose, Hugo Lloris and Moussa Sissoko all enjoyed better days than Ndombele.

Kane scored Spurs’ second goal of the afternoon with his only effort on target to regain the host’s lead following Danny Ings’ 39th-minute equaliser, while also completing 50% of his attempted dribbles, and winning six of 13 aerial duels.

Sissoko, meanwhile, celebrated his new contract by playing 28 accurate passes alongside a 100% tackle success rate and five clearances, and Rose played one key ball, won possession with three tackles, five clearances and one interception, alongside two successful dribbles from three attempts.

وأضاف عبد الحفيظ خلال استضافته ببرنامج “اللعيب”، المُذاع عبر قناة إم بي سي مصر: “الدوري هذا الموسم أصعب من المواسم الماضية، يوجد فرق كثيرة جيدة ولديها جراءة”.

وتابع: “المنافسة مع الزمالك متواجدة وهذا ظهر منذ أول أسبوع، الموسم ما زال طويلا، العام الماضي الدوري كان محسوما مبكرًا، هذا الموسم أصعب مع الزمالك”.

وبسؤاله أي من المدربين أفضل للزمالك كارتيرون أم باتشيكو؟ رد قائلاً: “لا أريد أن أتحدث عن أحد”.

وواصل: “لا يوجد شخص يستطيع أن يقول من الذي سيتواجد في المربع الذهبي بدوري أبطال إفريقيا، المرشح سيظهر أكثر بداية من دور الثمانية”.

وعن النادي الذي لفت نظره في دوري أبطال إفريقيا، قال: “كل الفرق لديها فرص صن داونز يسير بشكل جيد والترجي التونسي، والزمالك يبقى الزمالك”.

وعن حقيقة تفاوض الأهلي مع حمدو الهوني، قال: “لا يوجد أي شيء على المستوى الرسمي إطلاقًا، ليس منطقيا أن نفكر في ذلك قبل 7 أو 8 أشهر عن نهاية الموسم”.

واستكمل: “نحسبها بالعقل، الهوني يلعب في الترجي وعقده ممتد مع فريقه وشرطه الجزائي 2 مليون يورو  يجب أن نحسب احتياجات المركز ورغبة المدير الفني والاختيارات الفنية، ومن الممكن البعيد اليوم يكون قريبا غدًا، غير صحيح حاليًا أننا نفكر فيه”.

واختتم: “موسيماني يحقق نتائج جيدة مع الفريق بنسبة 100% ونطمع في المزيد ولدينا أهداف نريد تحقيقها، الحفاظ على لقب الدوري ودوري أبطال إفريقيا، مستقبل موسيماني لم يكن مربوطا بنتيجة فيتا كلوب”.

Speaking exclusively to Football FanCast, John Hartson has suggested Pep Guardiola has “big plans” for Phil Foden and expects Manchester City will need him over the course of the season.

The England U21 international has struggled for game-time in the first-team this season, making just four appearances across all competitions, leading to questions over whether he would be suited to a loan move away.

Now, Hartson has insisted Guardiola will be aware of Foden’s desire to play, and suggested City could do with a player of his ability in the squad.

He said: “If Foden gets fed up or really feels he’s good enough to play then that’s a conversation he needs to have with his manager. 

“But I do think that Guardiola has big plans for Foden. Going out on loan is something that’s worked for other players but Man City could need him.

“Guardiola might be thinking why should I send him out on loan when I could do with him in the squad at City.”

With injuries already sustained by a handful of key players – including Aymeric Laporte, John Stones and Kevin De Bruyne – Guardiola will be acutely aware of the need for a big squad.

Hartson went on to add: “He clearly really rates him. It could really give a club a boost if they manage to sign him on loan because he’s different class for his age.

“I think in Foden’s case that he will play a lot more this season than he has in previous seasons.

“Guardiola will understand that the boy will be frustrated and he does want to play games just like everybody else. That’s how footballers should be – they shouldn’t be happy on the bench.”

At just 19-years-old, Foden still has the world at his feet, and has plenty of room for growth. Working under a coach like Guardiola brings him a set of resources he wouldn’t be able to find anywhere else.

The Spaniard has worked with some of the greatest players of the modern era, and has coached them to become even better than they are – just look at Raheem Sterling.

So whilst the English prospect may find more regular first-team opportunities elsewhere, there simply isn’t a replica of the kind of coaching Guardiola could give him on a day-to-day basis. His goal against Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League showed he is ready to step up to the plate and, as Hartson suggests, City would do well to recognise that he has plenty to offer this season.

John Salako has been speaking to talkSPORT about his former club Crystal Palace – more specifically Christian Benteke – and he has some pretty damning words for the Belgian.

Salako – who made 66 appearances for the Eagles – hasn’t held back in his criticism of the former Aston Villa and Liverpool striker, amid what is a tough time for the 6 foot 3 forward.

Benteke has managed to score just four goals in his last 57 games in all competitions, netting just once last term.

That is a pretty terrible record, and Salako has echoed that sentiment and more.

What did he say?

Salako told talkSPORT: “There is talk of Benteke getting a new contract and I am just flabbergasted!

“What has happened over the last two or three years of him at Palace – and I don’t like digging him out – he’s been awful. I really feel for the lad to a point because he just can’t do it. It’s like he’s got his boots on the wrong feet.

“He just can’t do anything right; it’s amazing.”

Hard to disagree

Whatever has happened to Benteke, either physically or mentally, is standing out on the pitch like a sore thumb.

He looks tedious when making runs in the box. He looks visibly nervous when in on goal given the undoubted criticism he will receive if he misses – at the end of the day though, it is hard to defend him given the finances invested into his services.

Palace spent £27m on the 28-year-old, and have been paying him £120k-a-week since 2016.

For what is supposed to be an elite forward, four goals in 57 is awful as Salako states, and it is hard to disagree with the 50-year-old’s comments.

On the topic of a potential new contract for Benteke, Salako also has every right to be flabbergasted.

If Benteke’s form is what it takes to earn a new deal, then why would any player even bother?

Rewarding him for such pitiful form surely spike an upturn in goalscoring results following the renewal – it would be akin to giving a dog a treat for leaving a mess on the carpet.

You simply can’t argue with Salako’s comments.

وتابع: “مع ذلك انضم اللاعب وشارك في تدريبات المنتخب، ليتعرض للإصابة من جديد ويتم تبليغ النادي الأهلي”.

وأكمل: “الأهلي يعاني من غيابات كثيرة جدًا، خاصة في مركز الظهير الأيسر الذي يلعب فيه أيمن أشرف، ورغم ذلك كان هناك حالة تربص وإصرار على ضم اللاعب”.  

وأردف سمير: “هنا توجد علامات استفهام كبيرة، هل هناك تربص ومؤامرة وعناد من الجهاز الفني للمنتخب من أجل تعطيل مسيرة الأهلي في إفريقيا؟!، والأهلي كان يحتاج اللاعب في مباراة المريخ، رغم أن المنتخب يستطيع تعويضه”. ويستعد الأهلي لمواجهة المريخ في المباراة التي تقام ضمن الجولة الخامسة من دور المجموعات بدوري أبطال إفريقيا.

واختتم: “على الجانب الآخر هناك لاعبون يقولون شفاهية إنهم مجهدون ويتم استبعادهم دون أي تقرير طبي”.

يذكر أن الجهاز الفني لمنتخب مصر قرر استبعاد أحمد فتوح لاعب الزمالك من قائمة مباراتي كينيا وجزر القمر بسبب معاناته من نزلة برد.

Both Mason Mount and Declan Rice are currently living this dream. The pair became friends after they first met at Chelsea’s academy 12 years ago and have seemingly become inseparable, despite the not-so-small hump of Rice being released by the club when he was 14.

Naturally, over the years, a degree of competition has developed between the two, and we saw just a glimpse of that during a Three Lions training session, when Rice posted a snapshot photo to his Instagram of him finishing ahead of Mount in a foot race.

England’s upcoming tie against the Czech Republic will be the friends’ second international outing together after Mount was gifted his first senior debut during the 4-0 victory over Bulgaria last month.

The 31-year-old Croatian, who has won 104 caps for his country, seems to be one of the dispensable players in the Blaugrana squad and if some of the fans’ reactions are any indication, he is not among the most beloved players in the team.

Upon hearing this transfer update, many of them were actually thrilled about it and are hoping to see Rakitic gone as soon as possible.

Some were even praising and showing their love for Antonio Conte, Inter Milan’s manager, since he could be doing them such a big favour, while others are practically begging him to go through with the deal.

Of course, nothing is for certain just yet and the winter transfer market is still some time away.
