West Ham United attacker Manuel Lanzini has claimed that Declan Rice ‘can be better’ than Javier Mascherano if he ‘stays focused’ and continues to improve.

Rice has earned rave reviews for his performances throughout the season and could soon earn an England call-up after switching his allegiance from the Republic of Ireland.

Mascherano made seven appearances for West Ham during the 2006-07 season, meanwhile, before going on to represent Liverpool and Barcelona ahead of a move to China.

The 5ft 9in ace, in his prime, was widely regarded as one of the best holding midfielders in world football, whilst he developed into an outstanding centre-back at Barcelona.

The 34-year-old has five La Liga titles and two Champions League crowns to his name, but Lanzini, who has played alongside Mascherano for Argentina, has insisted that ‘the hero of the team’ Rice can surpass the South American.

Lanzini – a four-time Argentina international – told West Ham’s official website:

“Declan for me is the hero of the team. He is a very young player, but it is as if he has played 200 games. He is amazing.

“I like to play with him because he has good touch, he has good recovery, I think he is one of the best players in the Premier League.

“He is [like Javier Mascherano]. I played with Mascherano and he is a very good player. He is 20 and I think Declan needs to continue like this, if he stays focused and I think he can be better than Mascherano.”

Rice has found the back of the net on two occasions in 26 Premier League appearances for West Ham during the 2018-19 campaign.

The 20-year-old signed a new long-term deal with the Hammers in the latter stages of 2018.

Charlton’s 2-1 win over Burton on Tuesday night extended their unbeaten league run at home to 13 games, with first-half goals from Lyle Taylor and Ben Reeves enough to best the Brewers.

ونجح الأهلي في التغلب على الترسانة بهدفين مقابل هدف في إطار منافسات دور الـ16 لكأس مصر.

وقال أيمن يونس في الأستوديو التحليلي للمباراة على قناة “أون تايم سبورت”: “تصرف سيئ من فايلر، وانسحابه من المؤتمر بهذا الشكل، لم يحترم اللحظة الأخيرة في مشواره مع الأهلي، لقطة تبين عدم نضوجه”.

وتابع: “كان من الممكن أن يختتم مشواره مع الأهلي بشكل أفضل من ذلك، تصرف صبياني جدا من شخص متوتر وعصبي ويشبه الأطفال في تصرفاتهم”.

وأضاف: “هو رفض أن يترك أي أثر طيب لأي أحد، كان لابد أن يعرف كيف يقول كلمة محترمة للاعبين والإدارة والمشجعين لكي يكتسب أي احترام، ولكنه من الواضح أنه مغيب عن الحقيقة وتصرفه غير مهني بالمرة، وهذا يدل على سوء اختياره وأن مثل هذه الشخصيات لابد ألا تدخل مصر مرة أخرى”.

واختتم: “عجرفة وتصرف مبالغ فيه ومسح أي شيء قدمه للأهلي”.

Finally, it looks as though the Spaniard and his squad are on the same page and performing the way a Newcastle side should be. The Toon Army will be travelling down south with all the confidence in the world after their incredible come back last week against Everton. Indeed, it truly was a Premier League classic.

Still, Benitez must answer questions against an Eddie Howe side who are looking to build off their solid 0-2 away win against Huddersfield, in what is a huge game for the Magpies. Win, and that might just be survival guaranteed.

With that in mind, we take a look at a couple of changes the gaffer could make.

Drop Matt Ritchie 

Matt Ritchie has been suffering from a run of poor form of late, and after being subbed against Everton before the magic began, missing a penalty. To be honest, he has looked the shadow of his former self lately, largely because he’s been performing two roles at once.

Not having scored since the memorable 2-1 win over Manchester City, the Magpies will need to look elsewhere in the squad until the Scottish international can get back to being devastating in the final third.

Start Kenedy 

Despite struggling to get a real foothold in the squad this season, Kenedy will be looking to his past performance against Bournemouth earlier this season to inspire him. Grabbing his only assist this season against Bournemouth in the 2-1 home win, he will be hoping that a start would help provide the same sort of lift to bring all three points back to St. James’.

Newcastle fans will be remembering the form of Kenedy towards the end of last season, a form that lifted the Toon up and helped pave a way for survival. Is it too late for the 23-year-old to push on and recapture that same late-season form?

West Ham United fans have been showing the love for ex-player Matthew Taylor on Tuesday as he announced his retirement from playing at the end of the season.

The 37-year-old took to Twitter early in the morning to tell the football world about the news and the reaction has been emotional, especially from Hammers.

Taylor enjoyed a significant part of his long and fruitful career in east London, first hooking up with then manager and close friend Sam Allardyce at Upton Park in summer 2011.

Later that season, he helped the club to first-time promotion back to the Premier League, notching an assist in the play-off final win over Blackpool.

It’s that massive assist that some supporters are reminiscing so fondly about in the wake of the news, as well as his general role in the successful 2011/2012 campaign and his famous left foot, with one also stating “Loved you at West Ham, good luck,” summing up the vibes.

أ- يسمح بقيد عدد 4 لاعبين أجانب كحد أقصى في كل نادي من أندية القسم الأول أسوة بالموسم الماضي علما بأنه سيتم تقليل عدد اللاعبين الأجانب بدءًا من الموسم الجديد ۲۰۲۲/۲۰۲۱.

ب- يسمح بقيد عدد ۲ لاعبين أجانب كحد أقصى في كل نادي من أندية القسم الثاني ويكونا ضمن العدد المحدد للقائمة) الا الأندية التي لديها لاعبون مستمرة عقودهم، يستمر قيد هولاء اللاعبين حتى نهاية عقودهم على ألا يشارك في المباراة سوي عدد ۲ لاعبين فقط.

ج- يسمح بقيد لاعب أجنبي واحد لأندية القسم الثالث.

د- يجوز قيد لاعب واحد فقط فلسطيني او سوري أو شمال افريقي ويعامل معاملة المصريين.

د- لا يجوز إشراك غير المصري في مركز حراسة المرمى في جميع المسابقات.

و- يسمح لغير المصريين من المقيمين التسجيل في مراحل البراعم وحتی مواليد 2004 ولا يجوز لهم المشاركة في المسابقات الأكبر من ذلك.

يقوم النادي بتوثيق عقود الأجهزة الفنية والادارية بالاتحاد المصري لكرة القدم حتى يتسنى لهم استخراج بطاقات دخول المباريات للموسم الجديد ۲۰۲۱/۲۰۲۰ على أن يكون رسم توثيق عقود الأجهزة الفنية هي نسبة 3% من القيمة السنوية.

لن يسمح للمدير الفني المتعاقد مع نادي أن يتولى مسئولية نادي آخر حال فسخ التعاقد من جانبه، ويسمح له بالتعاقد مع نادي آخر اذا تم الاستغناء عنه وذلك بحد أقصى نادين (اثنين فقط).

وعلى النادي الذي يقوم بتغيير مديره الفني إثبات الطرف الفاسخ للتعاقد قبل توثيق عقد المدير الفني الجديد.

The West Brom manager situation is an utter mess, and one that could, and should, have been, handled much better.

Sacking a manager in March, while your team is still comfortably in the play-off positions, and having only appointed him on a permanent basis in the summer, seems like a strange decision.

But to do it, seemingly without a contingency plan is unfathomable.

Rumours have been rife about Slavisa Jokanovic being spoken to, or Alex Neil being considered, but the fact is, no one really knows.

We now sit 10 days on from Darren Moore’s sacking, and the Albion fans are no nearer knowing the next man in charge than they were when the announcement of his departure was made.

To make the best of a poorly handled situation, would have been to have the next boss in place prior to this international break, giving him time with the majority of his squad, allowing them all to get to know each other and have two weeks to work on what is expected.

But that is not the Albion way.

An interim boss was mooted, to the dismay of many fans, who must have been united in the ‘been there, done that’ mindset.

With time running down on the season, fans now seem resigned to a short-term appointment, with a consensus agreeing that there is simply not enough time for a new regime to get his staff in place and influence the remainder of the season.

It’s a sorry state of affairs for the loyal fans, who show up week in, week out, and deserve an appointment that can match their commitment and ambition.

ويلتقي منتخب بلجيكا مساء اليوم في تمام الساعة التاسعة إلا ربع، مع كوت ديفوار في ملعب “الملك بودوان” بالعاصمة “بروكسل”.

وأعلن الحساب الرسمي للمنتخب البلجيكي على موقع التواصل الاجتماعي “تويتر” أن كورتوا قد تعرض لإصابة بسيطة في العضلة القطنية، ولذلك اتفق ريال مدريد مع مدرب بلجيكا، روبرتو مارتينيز، بعدم المخاطرة بمشاركة الحارس.

وكان البنك الأهلي قد تأهل إيضاً إلى الدوري المصري الممتاز الموسم المقبل.

وقال سراج الدين عبر صفحته على موقع التواصل الاجتماعي “فيس بوك: “مبروك صعود المحلة للممتاز وأتمنى المنصورة العام القادم مع احترامي الكامل لأندية الشركات وما تعمل به من احترافية في منظومة عملها ولكن المضي بهذا الشكل على المدى الطويل لن يكون إيجابيا على الكرة المصرية في وجهة نظري إحنا كل يوم بنخسر أندية جماهيرية بالشكل ده”.

وتابع: “الصح يتفعل في اللوائح الخاصة باتحاد الكرة دوري خاص بالشركات ويتم الفصل تماماً بمعايير ولوائح قانونية واضحة ويمنع تسجيلهم في دوريات الترقي للممتاز اللي المفروض يكون مقتصرا على الأندية الجماهيرية والشعبية واللي بتمثل مدن ومحافظات وده مثلاً يكون أحد المعايير الأساسية مش اللي بتمثل شركات ومؤسسات قطاع عام وخاص”.

وأضاف: “مع كامل احترامي لكل الشركات لو في شركة في خططها التسويقية عمل دعاية لنفسها وده حقها طبعاً وتكون مشاركة في قلب الحدث والدوري الممتاز يبقى ترعى نادي جماهري أو مع أحقية الأندية الرياضية الأن بتأسيس شركات مساهمة وشركات كرة يدخلوا في حصة مع النادي في شركة المساهمة ويتم المساهمة مثلاً في تطوير استاد النادي الجماهيري الخاص واللي موجود في أغلب المحافظات مش لسه هيتم بناءه فقط يتم تطويره بشكل حديث يلائم المعايير الدولية”.

وأكمل: “مع عودة الجمهور مستقبلاً هيكون الاستاد ده مصدر دخل محترم للنادي والشركة غير عوائد البث والإعلانات وبكده يكون النادي الجماهيري اللي بيمثل محافظة جماهيرية استفاد والشركة كمان هتستفاد اكتر لأن هيعود عليها ميزة عامل الجمهور في الوقت ده اللي هي اصلاً مفتقدها يعني على سبيل المثال في انجلترا هتلاقي بنك ستاندرد تشارترد راعي لليڤربول وهتلاقي أكبر شركات الغاز والبترول العالمية جاز بروم راعي لنادي شالكة الألماني مفيش بقى فريق اسمه نادي بنك ستاندرد تشارترد ولا فريق اسمه نادي جاز بروم”.
