A West Ham player who has been hailed as "phenomenal" in the past is now set to seal a return to one of his former clubs, according to a fresh transfer claim.

The Hammers are being linked with plenty of exciting new signings as Julen Lopetegui looks to nail his summer transfer business having replaced David Moyes as manager.

One recent report has suggested that West Ham have enquired about Villarreal striker Alexander Sorloth, seeing him as a fantastic option alongside Mohammed Kudus, making Lopetegui's attack even more potent in the process. The 28-year-old scored an impressive 23 times in La Liga this season, highlighting the level of end product he could bring, acting as an upgrade on the ageing Michail Antonio.

Meanwhile, Celtic star Matt O'Riley has also emerged as a rumoured target for the east Londoners ahead of the 2024/25 season, as the Hammers look to find a tailor-made replacement for Lucas Paqueta should the Brazilian depart this summer. Like Sorloth, the attacking midfielder's numbers last season were mightily impressive, with 31 goal contributions (18 goals and 13 assists) coming his way in the Scottish Premiership.

According to The Sunday People's print edition [via West Ham Zone], Danny Ings is set to leave West Ham and re-join Southampton in the near future, following 18 months at the London Stadium.

The Hammers are willing to allow the £125,000-a-week striker to move on for a fresh challenge, but they are yet to come to an agreement with the Saints, with a £6m fee mooted.

This feels like the right time for Ings to move on considering his age and the fact that he has largely been a bit-part player since joining West Ham in January 2023. Only three starts in the Premier League were handed to him last term, which outlines his squad status, although former Premier League striker Noel Whelan did laud him during his time at Aston Villa, saying:

"He is a phenomenal finisher as well, and we’re really seeing that partnership work with [Ollie] Watkins. They’re building that telepathy, which is key to any good side. Olmo’s stats in the Bundesliga last season were just as impressive, registering nine goal contributions in his 21 appearances – an average of 0.4 goals and assists per 90.

His stats would massively improve Maresca’s attacking options in the final third, with the Spaniard currently compared to one of the best young talents in Europe.

The rise of English midfielder Jude Bellingham has been phenomenal, moving from Birmingham City to Real Madrid just over four years after his professional debut at just 16.

In his debut campaign for the LaLiga outfit, the 21-year-old made 28 appearances, scoring 19 goals and contributing with six assists for his teammates as they claimed the league title and the Champions League.

The “world-class” Olmo, as dubbed by journalist Victor Catalina, may have registered fewer combined goals and assists, but he was more of a threat, averaging more progressive carries and more shots per 90.

Despite being a more attacking-minded player than the Real Madrid ace, he’s registered the same amount of tackles per 90, whilst making more blocks during his latest season in the Bundesliga.

While his main responsibility is to create chances in the final third, Olmo has demonstrated the ability to have an impact at both ends of the pitch – making him the perfect fit for Maresca’s system.

The £152k-per-week star may cost a pretty penny this summer, but his talent is undeniable, taking the Blues to the next level in their hunt for Champions League football.

Olmo’s talent in the final third could fall perfectly into the hands of Palmer, who could further bolster his impressive tally in front of goal should the 26-year-old arrive at Stamford Bridge this summer.

نقلت صحيفة “الميدان الرياضي” تصريحات العيسى التي جاء فيها: “أنا ما زلت موجودًا باللجنة، وأكنّ كل الاحترام للجميع”، بهذه الكلمات، أكد العيسى استمراره في منصبه كرئيس للنادي، مبدداً بذلك الشكوك التي أثيرت حول مستقبله مع الفريق.

وفي سياق حديثه، انتقد العيسى بشدة ما وصفه بـ “حب الظهور وحب التصدّر على حساب النادي الأهلي من خلال التغريدات أو الأخبار المتداولة”، وأضاف: “أنا لست من أنصار التسريبات”، بهذه التصريحات، عبّر العيسى عن استيائه من تداول الأخبار غير الدقيقة والشائعات التي قد تؤثر سلباً على استقرار النادي، وشدد على أهمية العمل الجماعي والتركيز على مصلحة النادي بدلاً من البحث عن الشهرة أو التصدّر الإعلامي.

The PCB’s cricket committee will meet on Tuesday to review Pakistan’s 2020-21 season, including the team’s performance in the recent series against New Zealand. Head coach Misbah-ul-Haq and bowling Waqar Younis will both be debriefed on a tour where Pakistan lost the Tests 2-0 and T20Is 2-1.One of the key agendas in Tuesday’s meeting would be to assess the performances of Misbah and Younis, who have both been under scrutiny for the team’s poor results lately. Batting coach Younis Khan, however, has been exempted. “Committees will recommend whatever it is, good or bad, and after that Ehsan Mani will assess and take a final decision,” Wasim said. “At the moment, we can’t speculate and there should be a transparent evaluation of the performance. We will do the review of the whole season, starting from England series. There will be debate and there will be questions, but it doesn’t mean there will be definitely some changes.”Speculations are always there whenever we lose and new names (to replace the present) come up. It is disrespectful to Waqar and Misbah and nothing has changed as yet but their performances will be reviewed.”The committee had been formed in October 2018 to assist PCB chairman Ehsan Mani, but the responsibilities of the panel were limited to just recommendations. Saleem Yousaf, the new head of the committee, is the fourth incumbent in 26 months.The role of the committee broadly encompasses cricketing affairs, both domestically as well as internationally, but they aren’t allowed to interfere in day-to-day selection matters. While the committee has not been given any decision-making powers, they have been handed a wide remit. The committee meets three times a year; the upcoming meeting is the first of 2021.Ever since Misbah took charge of the team, the PCB has taken several bold decisions, such as removing Sarfaraz Ahmed as captain and dropping him from all three formats. Soon after, Azhar Ali was made the Test captain while Babar Azam was chosen to lead the team in the limited-overs formats. However, after the England series last year, Ali was also stripped off the captaincy, with the role handed to Azam.After another review last October, Misbah stepped down as Pakistan’s chief selector, but agreed to continue as head coach till 2022.When asked why the PCB hands three-year contracts to their coaches if the management is reviewed after every series, Wasim said, “There should be some continuity and security in contracts. We do give contracts in good faith and this cricket committee meeting will not necessarily recommend a change. Blooding young talent in the national side at the expense of consistent results has not proven to be a winning strategy, West Indies captain Kieron Pollard said on the eve of the first T20I against Sri Lanka. Pollard further said it was about time the team started winning matches on a regular basis.Since their T20 World Cup triumph in 2016, West Indies have won just 16 of their subsequent 50 T20Is, losing 30 of them. And if that means getting a couple of senior guys in to start that process, so be it.”Recalls for Chris Gayle and Fidel Edwards, 41 and 39 respectively, raised more than a few eyebrows, but head coach Phil Simmons had earlier stated both players had earned their spots in the side by virtue of their strong performances in franchise cricket. We have 18 games plus a whole CPL tournament before the World Cup, so guys can get opportunities and we can see where we need to be come October.”[Fringe players must] continue to work hard and continue to churn out the numbers, and stick your neck above the rest.”But you have to continue to do it. If you have to pick between guys scoring 150-200 runs all the time, and there’s no one sticking out their head – I’m just talking in general, that figure is not relevant – scoring above that, then it just boils down to who you think is the best person at that point in time. And if the guys keep doing that then the opportunity will present itself.”Look at young Kevin Sinclair, he’s been economical in the couple of games he played in the Super 50 in the last couple of years for the emerging team, even this year as well in CPL. He gets an opportunity now. The opportunities are there, opportunities are going to come, things are being seen. You just have to be as consistent as possible, and not just walking around doing and saying things with a sense of entitlement.”In terms of the players that have missed out on the Sri Lanka tour, particularly Shimron Hetmyer – widely considered to be among the most talented batsmen in the West Indies set-up – Pollard refused to be drawn into the conversation, though he did say Hetmyer’s absence left a “big void”.”He knows exactly what he needs to do, he knows the reasons why he’s not here. And again we need to sometimes be open and honest and straightforward with each from different points of view, rather than just try to pamper certain situations all the way through. ووافق إنبي على طلب الزمالك بقطع إعارة اللاعب بشرط تسوية المستحقات المالية.

وفي نفس السياق، عرضت إدارة الزمالك على اللاعب الحصول على نصف مستحقاته من النصف الأول للموسم الحالي، وهو ما رفضه زياد كمال وطلب الحصول على مستحقاته كاملة عن النصف الأول للموسم، وقد يبدي مرونة في قبول نسبة 50%.

من المنتظر أن يتم حسم الأمر خلال جلسة بين إدارة الناديين بحضور اللاعب خلال الساعات القليلة المقبلة.
